Dr. Gowda, a highly experienced and dedicated physician, specializes in Ambulatory Care-Internal Medicine, offering quality primary care services since July 2014 in both Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, FL. With a commitment to delivering excellence in healthcare, Dr. Gowda also provides urgent care services at Quality Urgent Care & Wellness facilities in the same locations. 

With a background spanning various aspects of healthcare, Dr. Gowda has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, having served in numerous small facility hospitals across the United States from March 2004 to May 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Gowda contributed significantly to Hospital Medicine at Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola, FL, from September 2002 to April 2014.

Dr. Gowda's leadership roles underscore their commitment to advancing healthcare delivery. They served as Medical Director of Hospital Medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital from December 2004 to December 2012 and held successive positions as Vice Chief of Medicine (January 2009 to December 2010) and Chief of Medicine (January 2011 to December 2012) at the same institution.

Furthermore, Dr. Gowda is an Assistant Professor Clinical at FSU School of Medicine since June 2004, contributing to medical education and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr. Gowda's contributions to the field have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Presidential Award (2009-2012) and Outstanding Faculty (2013) from both Sacred Heart Hospital and Lake Erie College of Medicine.

Dr. Gowda is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and continues to practice in Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola, providing compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services to their patients.

Courtney L. Truax is a highly accomplished Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing in Adult Geriatric Acute Care. With a strong background in primary care, she has returned to the field with a renewed focus on prevention and wellness. Courtney currently serves as the Manager of Quality Urgent Care, where she applies her extensive expertise to improve patient outcomes and ensure high standards of care. Courtney's objective is to utilize her acquired skills and knowledge to contribute to quality patient care outcomes and health. She is committed to increasing her expertise through new experiences and specialty opportunities, with a particular focus on enhancing the health and well-being of her patients.

Courtney holds a Doctorate of Nursing from the University of Central Florida, where she focused on Administration, Quality Improvement, and AGACNP Certification. Her academic achievements include recognition on the President's List, Dean's List, and membership in Sigma Theta Tau.

She also completed a Master of Nursing Science Credentialed Program at the University of Arkansas Medical Science, specializing in Adult and Geriatric Acute Care, with minors in nursing education, evidence-based research, and cardiovascular care. Courtney earned accolades such as the President's List, Dean's List, and Sigma Theta Tau membership during her master's studies.

Courtney's dedication and excellence have been acknowledged through prestigious awards such as the WOW Patient Care award from Baptist Health Systems and the Quality Urgent Care and Wellness Exceptional Service Award. She was also honored with induction into America's Top Nurses in the 2020 Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare.

Sherry Chandler, FNP-BC, MNSc

Ms. Chandler is a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a diverse background in nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern New Mexico University.

Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Florida Board of Nursing, Ms. Chandler is also a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her extensive clinical expertise is further demonstrated by her Board Certification as an Emergency Nurse, with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association.

Ms. Chandler's nursing practicum experiences encompass a wide range of specialties, including Pediatric care, Holistic care, Family Practice, Infusion Services, and Internal Medicine. With a background as a Registered Nurse in various critical care settings such as Infusion, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), and Air Force, she brings invaluable expertise to her role as a Nurse Practitioner with Quality Primary Car

Throughout her career, Ms. Chandler has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, serving as a manager of medical specialty clinics and leading trauma teams in the Emergency Department. Her commitment to professional growth is evident in her membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, where she remains actively engaged in advancing nursing practice and patient care standards.

Jacqueline Noelle Schroeder

Ms. Schroeder returns to our practice, bringing a wealth of expertise, dedication, and a diverse background in healthcare. She holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Florida State University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Her academic achievements reflect her commitment to excellence and her deep understanding of both the scientific and human aspects of patient care.

With a long-standing passion for healthcare, Ms. Schroeder has garnered extensive experience working at the bedside, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients. She has specialized in caring for Alzheimer's and dementia patients, demonstrating a profound empathy and skill in managing these complex conditions. Her work in residential living environments has equipped her with a holistic view of patient needs, while her expertise in wound care, medical procedures, and palliative care highlights her versatility and capability in handling diverse medical situations.

Ms. Schroeder’s broad knowledge extends across various fields, including family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, women's health, and psychiatry. This extensive background allows her to offer well-rounded and informed care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
